Cancellation Policy

Administrative Cancellation Charge

All canceled reservations are subject to a non-refundable administrative charge equal to 10% of the total reservation amount, regardless of when the cancellation is made. This administrative charge applies to every cancellation and is in addition to any applicable cancellation or no-show fees outlined below.

If you fail to collect the vehicle without prior notice (no-show), you will be charged the 10% administrative charge plus a no-show fee equal to 100% of the total reservation amount.

Changes and Cancellation Policy

Ascent allows you to make changes to a reservation up to two (2) times.

Any change to a booking made online or through our call center is subject to vehicle availability and the rates in effect at the time the change is made. The revised rate may be higher or lower than the original reservation price. Changes include, but are not limited to:

  • Drop-off location
  • Pick-up date and time
  • Drop-off date and time
  • Vehicle type

As a courtesy to other customers, please cancel any reservation you no longer require as soon as your plans change.

The following cancellation fees apply in addition to the 10% non-refundable administrative charge:

One-Way Rentals, Winter Tire Vehicles (October–May)
  • One-way rentals (different pick-up and drop-off locations)
  • Vehicles equipped with winter tires

If you cancel within 15 days of your scheduled pick-up time, you will be charged 50% of the total reservation amount.

One‑Way Fee Policy

If your reservation includes a one‑way drop‑off, the one‑way fee becomes non‑refundable once the free 15‑day modification grace period has passed. If you later change the booking to remove the one‑way drop‑off or convert it to a round‑trip, the one‑way fee will not be refunded.

Compact, Intermediate, Compact SUV, Midsize SUV, Premium SUV

If you cancel within 48 hours of your scheduled pick-up time, you will be charged 50% of the total reservation amount.

Minivans, Full-Size SUV, Full-Size SUV XL

If you cancel within 15 days of your scheduled pick-up time, you will be charged 50% of the total reservation amount.

12 Passenger Van, 15 Passenger Van, 15 Passenger Van EXT

If you cancel within 30 days of your scheduled pick-up time, you will be charged 50% of the total reservation amount.

Early Return

No refunds or credits will be issued for vehicles returned before the scheduled return date and time.
